For high performers the biggest block comes from an over-developed discipline muscle and a huge resistance to allowing your body and system its natural rest.
The most important step in this high achiever deconditioning process is therefore upgrading the main question you tend to ask yourself:
- ❌ Should I do this? or What should I do next?
And for a time we swing a bit more than is necessary to allow your system to do things only because you feel like doing them, and allowing the permission to NOT do stuff if you don’t feel like it.
Over time though, even the question “What do I feel like doing next?” becomes a limitation because many times it’ll come as a resistance and avoidance like:
- ❌ Ugh, I don’t feel like doing this.
